Pathway: Sales > Rate Update Batch

The Rate Update Batches tool is used to mass update rates for sites by either a percentage or an entered value amount. This tool offers two options to create a batch: Site Service Batch or Site Service Charge Batch. Site Service Batch is used for sites receiving recurring services. Site Service Charge Batch is used for sites receiving one-time charges. After a batch has been created it will display on the Rate Update Batches screen. Color coding is used to identify batch status using the following colors:

  • Open = White

  • Green = Posted

  • Red = Voided

This article details the process of updating rates after a batch has been created.

Descriptions

Change Type

Increase or decrease rates by percentage or amount.

Amount

Indicates the amount rates will be adjusted by. If rates are being decreased, place a minus sign before entering a numeric value.

Export

Select and anything displayed on the screen will be exported to Excel.

Import

Select to import an excel document into the Site Service Rate Update Batch tool.

Post

Select Post once all rate changes are complete and the batch will change from an Open to a Posted status. Once a batch is in a posted status it can not be updated.

Void

Select this option to void a matching percentage or amount to update the batch that way.

Close

Select to close the tool.

Apply a Rate Change to Multiple Accounts

  1. Double click selected service in the batch.

  2. Select the services you would like to apply rate changes to in the batch.

  3. Select the Change Type and enter an amount or percentage of the adjusted rate and select Apply to change the rates.

  4. Select Post with applied changes to permanently change the entire batch.

Apply a Rate Change to Individual Accounts

  1. Click within the New Rate field.

  2. Add in the new rate either add amount or discount.

  3. Post to apply the permanent changes.
