Assign Trucks and Drivers

Pathway: Operations > Dispatch

When the Dispatch screen displays, routes without a designated driver display at the top of the list. This screen allows for the editing of truck and driver assignments; however, truck/driver re-assignment changes should NEVER be made once the driver has started their route.

In the event a driver has started their route and is unable to finish, re-assign the service locations to a new route. Do not re-assign a new truck and driver to a route that is already in-progress.

Edit Route Record
  1. Enter a date in the From and To date fields.

  2. Select the Division to filter routes on. Select all that apply.

  3. Select the Line of Business to filter on. Select all that apply.

  4. Select Load.

  5. By default, the Dispatch tool displays in the Standard grid view. For purposes of assigning and reassigning trucks and drivers, continue to use this view.

  6. Double-click within the row of a route (not the route name/ID) to display the Edit Route Record pop up.

    • Note: Clicking on the route Name/ID will display a calendar.

  7. Select a Truck from the drop down list.

  8. Select a Driver from the drop down list.

  9. Select Helpers from the drop down list. (Optional)

  10. Select Save and continue for each route until all routes are assigned a truck and driver.
